Unshelved, online comic by Bill Barnes and Gene Ambaum (previously known as Overdue), also available in book form.

Shelf Check, online-only comic by Emily Lloyd. My favorite. So funny and subversive.

Late addition: there’s also James Turner’s Rex Libris series. Rex Libris, a former Egyptian god, is the Head Librarian at the Middleton Public Library.

Entry filed under: comics, general, perpetrated by staff, public libraries.

James Turner is Canadian, and the text on the image above is a famous (inside Canada) quotation.

Thanks! Care to explain the expression? A quick google isn’t yielding useful results for “Adventure & Words.”

That’s because you should have searched YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfUq9b1XTa0

The day after this interview with Pierre Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, he declared martial law.

Ah, sorry. The famous quotation is, “Just watch me.”

Sadly, when I click on the YouTube link I get “This video contains content from Canadian Broadcasting Corp., who has blocked it in your country [i.e. the U.S.] on copyright grounds.”

Well, crap. Here’s a YouTube clip that’s not directly from the CBC, see if that works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7_a2wa2dd4 (it’s about 6 minutes long)
